Not horse related- books

So I have spend alot of days this last week reading. I read the entire Vampire Academy series and 5 out of 6 of the Chigaco Land vampires Series. Im quite the bookworm and I read fast, so thats how I managed to read so many books in such a short times. When I start a book, I want to finish it and know how it ends, which at times can be quite the obession ;)

I enjoy fantasy the most when I read, and lately I mostly read vampire fiction. That is why I started the Vampire Academy series. People recommended it on several booksites, so I thought I might aswell give it a go, despite the lame name of the series ;) I thought Vampire Academy was alright, but abit juvenile and I found myself getting abit annoyed with the main character in the books, Rose.  I liked the Dimitri character alot, so thats why I had to read all of them. But overall, decent books to spend some time with, but not exactly "game breaking". I would give them a 5 out of 10, on a rating scale of 1 -10.

After I finished Vampire Academy, I thought I would continue with the Chicago Land vampire series, which I found to be more adult, and the main character is smart and funny, more relateable, and I found myself chuckling several times after things she says. But her Master vampire, Ethan, just rub me off in the wrong way (not my kind of man), and the decisions she makes around him just really bugs me, I cant explain it proper without doing major spoilers, but these books didnt really capture me, I just kept reading them for the hell of it, and not because I was actually a 100% captured by the books. More like a "I started it, I will finish it".   I would give the series a 6 out of 10.

A series I really do enjoy, is the Nighthuntress series. I love the characters and the lover (Bones) of the main character (Cat) is just yummy in his description and his humor, everything. I really enjoyed those books. Especially the first two books in the series are really captivating, and the story is interesting, and the tension between the characters- Exciting! I would definatly recommend this series to any adult vampire fans, and it beats the hell out of the Twillight series, and it is way more sexy ;)!

Lost my phone

Yesterday I lost my iphone on the way home from town. My boyfriend and I had been out celebrating our 4 year anniversary at a nice restaurant, and then when we got home I realised my phone was missing. It such an awful feeling, since I had so many things on that phone- pictures etc. I used it for so many things. And now its gone. What really bugs me is the ammount of money I spend on it, and now it feels like its just thrown out the window. Granted I had it for almost 2 years now, but still. It was in pretty good condition- well taken into account it had even survived falling into the toilet! ;) and a few scratches here and there, but still in good condition.

I feel like an idiot losing my phone like that. I usually take pretty good care of my things.

Well I guess I'll have to find myself a new phone.

Equiline winter 2012/13

Equiline has released their new winter collection, and it can be seen here: http://www.equalityline.se/wp-content/uploads/Vinter2012.pdf

I really liked the jacket below, but the rest of the collection didnt reallt appeal to me that much. I dont like green and red on riding gear that much, and especially not on breeches. But something for every taste ;)

Hair Care

I have very blonde hair with greytones (working towards white hair). It has been a long process getting my hair this light in colour, without destroying it. I had the hairdresse put toner in it, but since then I have been working on it myself.

What I usually do is i bleach my roots with this:

Very important NOT to apply bleach on hair that has already been bleached. It will make the hair break!

Then I use this on my entire hair afterwards, and I usually let it sit for 1 1/2 hour. (it looks purple, but it is to make your hair white- not purple ;) )

To keep my hair blonde/white I use these products:

I buy them on amazon, and I am so pleased with the results they give. I have tried Tony and Guy's shampoo for blonde hair, and didnt get any results what so ever. (not very pleased as it is quite expensieve), I have tried Loreal's products for blonde hair aswell (no proper results either) but these products from Amazon really did the trick. A big plus in my book is that they are alot cheaper than the other products I have tried.

A quick picture of what my hair looks like after doing my haircare rutine:

Who said keeping your hair very blonde isnt hard work?

Confessions of a shopaholic vol.1

Well, I found this Schocklemohle rug on sale. I have had my eye on since I saw it the first time. (I think it was in their 2010 collection?) So when I saw one of my favorite online stores had it on sale. I just had to buy it! (which in its own way is silly since I have not bought a horse yet) But I could not help myself to a "little" treat since I did so well on my exam, and it was only 67 euro, no delievery charge! (its normal price is around 99 euro +delivery) Besides, I will need it for my new horse! right? ;)  Speaking like a true shop-a-holic. God help me!

 12_aachen_0_digby_5337

"Given the all important role of taking care of an Olympic athlete Benedicte Stine Olsen says her hands on job lets her indulge in all her greatest passions. "Obviously I love horses, but I’m also very interested in the sport of dressage," says the 23 year old. "Being a groom allows you to travel all around the world and gives you the opportunity to watch world class combinations while also spending a lot of time with horses."

Having been top groom for Danish rider Nathalie zu sayn-Wittgenstein for more that four years, Benedicte was honoured to be a part of their London adventure and knows that her hard work helped the pair reach their full potential!"

Putting words into action- Eurodressage article.

Found this article on eurodressage, which I will recommend people to read.

Part 1- http://www.eurodressage.com/equestrian/2011/09/16/coming-together-minds-2011-fei-young-horse-seminar-and-judges-course

Part 2- http://www.eurodressage.com/equestrian/2011/09/17/putting-words-action-practical-demonstrations-s-level

"First to go was “Dankeschön” (by Danone I x Fidermark), a good type of horse presented by Anja Wilimzig who works for the National State Stud in Warendorf. At age 4 Dankeschön was quite impressed with the foreign surroundings and first was looking around a bit and whinnying repeatedly.
As he was a bit tight in the neck at the beginning, Hess asked his rider to open the frame of the horse, even though the conditions were not easy for doing that. Wilimzig revealed much talent, riding the excited liver-chestnut with feeling and precision and brought him more constantly in front of the vertical in trot and canter."

Quote from the article.

Im so impressed by the beautiful riding, shown on the pictures. One thing is "saying all the right things", but they are definatly puttings words into action.

Here is some of the pictures:
